Conclusion

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Real media products (films in this context) consist of locations, costumes, titles order, sound effects, props and an entertaining storyline. I believe that our locations conform to a real media product of similar context. This is becausee the locations we used are very much urban and dark as expected from a real production crime thriller. Our locations consisted of a bridge over a motorway at night, i used this location due to the cinematic beauty of car driving through the night in the background and because of the wide variety of camera shots it allows.

Below are images of our location on Google maps and a photo I took myself of the motorway at night.

The costumes and props we used in our film were kept simple but effective.

Costumes:

Drug- delaer Protagonist & corrupt cop antagonist.

Our drug dealer wears clothes that allow him to blend in with day to day life and is not excesivley flashy as typical movie drug dealers. Our corrupt cop follows the movie convention in his leather jacket and dark attire.

Goverment edition pistol on the left. Revolver on the right.

Our police officer had a proffessional goverment edition pistol whilst our drug dealer was armed with a less modern revolver. This shows their difference in character as a revolver is seen as much more of a rebels gun. A G.I. Pistol is seen as the weapon of choice for those who serve the law.

The title font and style i used during the editing process had to resemble a Hollywood style film, so for this reason i searched for a font on
http://www.dafont.com/. This website provides users with a lot of free fonts and font styles for free download. The font i chose from this website was named "coalition" and i initially thought that this font was perfect for my film as it is a block font and is simple but clear for my film. The font also has a white splash effect on the bottom of each letter which creates a fade look for the font making it look blunt. The colour i used for the titles was white to make the titles stand out from the opening sequence and to also add a balance between the background and the font.

I believe everything in our scenes (location, props, characters, costumes, cuts etc.) follow the conventions of a typical crime thriller. We have not challenged them we have simply followed he rules of the book.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

In my film police officers are shown as corrupt and money hungy whereas the drug dealers role is justified as someone who is trying to make a living. This opposes the common ideology of society.

What kind of media institute might distribute your media product and why?

The kind of media institute that might distribute my film is a mainstream film distibuter like Universal, Sony Pictures, 20th century Fox, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros.
This is because the crime thriller genre is mainstream enough for them to invest in and because they have a proven track record of being able to distribute movies successfuly.
Who would be the audience for your media product?

The crime thriller "Four Brothers" was distributed by Paramount.

The audience for my media product?

Animation of typical individual to watch my film.

The audience my film is focused on are males aged from 18-40. This is due to the expilicit scenes it will contain and the negative influence it may have on under 18 individuals. The film is alternative as opposed to mainstream, this is because it will not be shot on a huge Hollywood budget. Though more money usually means better production quality the low budget helps us (the production team) create a movie that focuses on the true original essential aspects of movie making such as acting and camera shots. The realistic crime/thriller genre does not require special effects, the aim was to keep the film as realistic as possible. The crime thriller genre is generally successful and popular as proved by past blockbusters e.g The Departed starring Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson and Street Kings starring Keanu Reeves. These all feature a corruption in law enforcement.

How did you attract/address your audience?

I attracted my target audience by maintaining crime/thriller conventions such as using guns and an intense story line. That is all that is needed to attract the majority of 18-30 year old males haha!
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Me: Before I started the course (joke).

Prior to this project I had little experience on using film related technology. I had used a handycam for home videos, but that was pretty much it. It was a huge jump from that to using the high-end Sony HD camcorder, as there were more components and techniques e.g. the microphone and superior lens. I also learnt how to use Final Cut Express on an Apple Mac computer. I learnt how to render footage, upload it from the camera, how to add sfx/music, how to apply effects such as fades, how to create titles and how to trim footage. I learnt that using the right technology (software/hardware) along with experience & creativity can lead to making a masterpiece, as anyone can learn to use technology, but not everyone has the creative mind to use these tools to their full potential.

Hard Candy, The Matrix, Dark Knight & Training Day Analysis:

We watched the films Hard Candy and The Matrix, before being asked to analyze them considering the relevance of mise-en-scene, camera shots, sound, and editing of the scene.

Hard Candy is a pyschological thiller featuring a mature 14yr old girl named Haley, who meets a paedophile whilst online. Throughout the movie she tricks him into believing she is innocent and fundamentally moronic she goes to his house and tortures him.

The director has significantly acknowledged the iconography of the two characters, using common representations to contrast to the character's actual personalities.
Promotional poster for Hard Candy, dressing similar to red riding hood. Use of beartrap is genius.

There is some reference/relation toLittle Red Riding Hood; at various points within the film Haley wears a red hooded jumper; the colour red often carries connotations of danger, sex and blood which juxtaposes the image of innocence portrayed by the fairy tale character of Little Red Riding Hood. This contrasts with the apparel of the peadophiles costume which is mainly blue, a colour associated with coldness and implying his cold-bloodedness and negativity. This is shown in the picture below.

Despite this he is still dressed in smart clothing typical of an office worker, this further enforces the realism of the situation. The dialoge in this conversation enforces the idea of sexuality and flirtation. She then follows by saying "this is soo good, i want more" which again in the eys of the audience can be percieved as in a sexual manner. After this the male character enters the scene and here his opening dialogue is "dont get too greedy" this can be interpreted as a command a parent would say to their child

Chocolate Cake Scene
Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Yra4h29HTM

In the scene above, Haley is waiting in a cafe for Jeff while eating chocolate cake, the chocolate is smeared across her lips reinforcing her youth and vulnerability. Jeff then wipes the chocolate from her lips a flirtatious action adding sexual reference. This then escalates to Jeff describing haley's need to chocolate, which is generally considered to be a sweet innocent thing, however he says it in a breathy, sexual tone, repeating and elongating each word, taking long pauses in between as though acting out an orgasm. This is bizarre and exagerates Jeff's pervertedness, consequently resulting in the audience feeling disdain toward this character.

The above image is a screen shot of the actress with chocolate smeared on her lip & the online conversion.

During this scene, there is a missing poster of a girl on the wall central to the frame between Jeff and Haley, this foreshadows the rest of the film. The audience will begin to believe that Haley will be abducted by him.

Computer Chat Scene
Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZIckfVHScM

Hard Candy' begins with Jeff and Haley talking to each other using an online instant messaging device where Haley is given the username 'Thonggirrrrl14' and Jeff 'Lensman319'. 'Lensman' relates to Jeff's proffession as a photographer however it also introduces his vices, implying that he sees the world through a lens, engaged in surrealism there is a certain naivety and cowardice surrounding him. During this scene there is only diegetic sound used (typing at a computer keyboard), and the audience only see the computer screen with no characters. Although it increases in volume, the lack of external sound (i.e/ music) exacerbates the realism of the situation, separating it from fiction and futher indicating that it can happen to anyone.

In the scene where Haley gets into Jeff's car and they begin to drive to his house, there is the non-diegetic sound track of a piano song. The track sounds quite bare with the piano being the only instrument, this could be used to emphasize the iscolation of the characters implying that they are now separated from the rest of society.
Later on in the film, Jeff begins to take slightly indecent pictures of Haley. Before the shoot begins, Haley puts on a cd with a techno music.
The techno music sounds quite mechanical and harsh, the heavy thudding drum beat could imitate the characters quickening heart beats, or the lack of emotion displayed in Jeff's personality. While the music is playing Jeff starts complaining of a heachache - clutching his head, however the music continues to increase in volumne/pace. The music may have been used to mirror Jef's lack of control through Haley's seduction and the shifting roles.

The music in this scene also compliments the editing, the camera cuts very quickly in time to the beat of the music which futher reinforces the idea of Jeff loosing control, after succumbing to Haley's charm. The fast pace cuts indicate Jeff's temporary insantity, and raise tension within the audience because it's hard to gain a straight picture of what's happening.

In 'Hard Candy' David Slade ensures that the Camera movement and angles, at the point when Haley has Jeff tied to the chair he uses a low angle camera shot (from Jeff's perspective) to show Haley's power. This is effective because it disregards her height/age and still makes the audience aware of Haley's disdain towad Jeff - he is looking down on her.

In the film, the lighting varies according to the mood fo the scene. At the beginning of 'Hard Candy' whilst both characters are comunicating to each other via on the internet, the lighting is a mixture of harsh blue and white, which has clinical connotations as it's similar to the lighting within a hospital indicating to a lack of emotion or life in danger. However during certain exposition scenes e.g. in the cafe, the lighting turns to daylight with a rose glow, which could imply that the characters are safe/happy. This is because the pink in the lighting is very soft/afeminate, and people often sterotype women or their things to be gentle and nuturing.

The Matrix is a sci-fi/action film that illustrates 'the future' which is perceived by humans as reality, to basically be a computer game called 'the matrix' controlled by machines. In class we watched a fighting scene between Neo and Agent Smith, and were asked to analyse it (www.youtube.com/watch?v+qaLvcM-u4ns).
In this scene the lighting is used effectively to emphasize the immorality of the situation. There is little lighting, aside from the spot lights on the walls, and the film has a greenish hue. Although green is a natrual colour, I think that whena scene is given a green light it implies that there is corruption happening within the scene, in this situation, it could be that Agent Smith is fighting 'The One', which from a 'good' perspective should be seen as forbidden, or even blasphemous.

Directors Andy and Larry Wachowski gave homage to Bruce Lee's 'Enter the Dragon', at the point where Neo beckons Agent Smith toward him using a specific hand manouver made famous by Bruce Lee. This is a very iconic action, and implies to the audience that Neo has raw strength and power, however, it also inputs a comic kung-fu element into the scene. Which contrasts to the references from the western/cowboy genre, for example, the newspapers blow across the platform imitating tumbleweeds. Also, before the fight begins, there is a close of Agent Smith clenching his fist (from behind) and Neo in the distance. Although it is a convention of Western fight scenes, it is modernized and used to express Agent Smith's anger and frustration implicitly.

In the scene, Agent Smith is dressed in a suit, shoes and sunglasses, whereas Neo wears all black clothing without sunglasses. The Agent's suit is obviously a uniform, however it also implies status and wealth, making the audience aware that he is at the of a hierarchy. Personally, I think the suit could aslo be used to symbolise boundaries, as Agent Smith does not possess the power and flexibility that Neo does. The formality of Agent Smith's dress contrasts to Neo's casual wear (black trousers and black cotton top). Often, black carries connoations of evil which contradicts Neo's posotive role. However, the black costume is used to emphasize Neo's understated, 'Cool' character, suprising his opposition with his ability.

One of the less apparent observations, was the number '3' on one of the platform pillars. On the surface, this would appear to merely be the number of the platform, however it symbolises the freedom of Neo (an anagram of 'One' - as he literally is 'The One') as he discovers his true being. Which is previously accompained by Morphious saying 'he's beginning to believe'.

The above scene is the
interrogation scene from The Dark Knight (Batman Trilogy).
This scene is famous for breaking the 180 degree rule in a successful manner.
At
approximately 2:09 in the scene the 180 degree rule is broken where The
Joker is seen from the right shoulder of Batman but in the following
shot he is seen from the over the left shoulder of Batman. This could be
seen as a normal shot but to people that understand the 180 degree rule
know that is has been broken, which is usually breaking the conventions
of camera shots but in this case it is carried out unnoticed.

There is a notorious line from this scene said by the Joker.
"Tonight, Batman, you are going to break your one rule!" It could be said that
the director Christopher Nolan decided to break the 180 degree rule to
mirro the character of The Joker, who is all about breaking rules within
society.
Simply genius.

How the 180 degree rule works

Target Audience?

Audience types

The audience my film is focused on are males aged from 18-40. This is due to the expilicit scenes it will contain and the negative influence it may have on under 18 individuals. The film is alternative as opposed to mainstream, this is because it will not be shot on a huge Hollywood budget. Though more money usually means better production quality the low budget helps us (the production team) create a movie that focuses on the true original essential aspects of movie making such as acting and camera shots. The crime thriller genre is generally successful and popular as proved by past blockbusters e.g The Departed starring Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson and Street Kings starring Keanu Reeves. These all feature a corruption in law enforcement.

There are five main types of audience. These five types are Mainstream, cult, subversive, abstract and alternative.

Mainstream - A large audience that watch one type of film genre the sales are calculated by Ratings or Box Office

Cult- A small, but loyal following of a particular media text,
for example Skinheads and 'This is England' or punks and 'Sid and Nancy'.

Subversive - An audience that follows controversial media texts are usually either supportive of an extremely alternate view to that of common thought or very open minded individuals that are not easily offended.

Abstract -
This refers to 'Arthouse' films, which is film that is left to audience perception - it has no narrative.

Alternative -
This is a smaller or 'budgeted' film taken from a mainstream idea, e.g Watchmen is the alternative of Batman: The Dark Knight.

Camera training, Editing training, Editing process & Titles

This is the specific camera we used throughout the project.

At the beginning of the course we were given a brief tutorial to how to use Sony HDV Camcorder, the tripod and the microphone. A technician taught us how to insert a tape into the camera which is an essential technique that needs to be perfected as the tape deck part on the camera is fragile and if damaged it could stop working permanently. We were also given demonstration on how the tripods should be used to make sure that the camera shots we take have the stability to make a proffessional shot.

We were also taught how to use the editing program 'Final Cut Pro'.
I discussed possible cuts, sounds and music with my group. We watched all the clips of our film to give ourselves a recap of how the film will be put together. We placed the cuts efficiently and correctly to prevent confusion within the story line and maintain a steady flow. Due the the shots taken by our cameraman (me) there was no need to cut much of the footage and the editing was finished rapidly. The final part of our editing procedure was to choose which SFX to apply to certain scenes. We all decided that the type of music that we will use would be tension creating music and slow momentum building sounds. So we then went onto www.mysoundfx.com , which was a website provided by our teacher, and began searching for music for our film.

Titles

Due to the normal procedure of cooperation I couldnt put forward my idea and my educational schedule prevented my attendance to the recording of the titles scene which was filmed on a seperate day to the rest of the film. My idea was to have alternating 2 second shots between the main character preparing himself (loading a gun, placing it in his waistband, zipping up jacket, stepping out of his house etc. this would allow the character to be introduced). My only contribution to the titles was picking the font which was downloaded of dafont.com.

We had a lesson on the titles used in famous Hollywood films. This lesson taught us the purpuse of the titles sequence and how the image of what the film will be hinted within its footage before any characters or dialogue is introduced. We watched was The Bonfire of the Vanities, where the opening scene is a lengthy shot of the New York City skyline as the sun rises. This shot imediately tells the audiece that the film is about the money and finance and the audience can tell this from the knowledge of New York they have themselves. The second film opening we watched was of Snake Eyes, a film starring Nicolas Cage. This film opens with footage that plays continously in the same scene but actually has eight cuts which the human eye would find hard spotting. Thirdly we watched Boogie Nights, which consists of a continuous shot that plays through to the end of the opening without any cuts. The last film opening that we watched was of the film Outbreak, which again is filmed without the use of any cuts. This film takes through the floors of the military's Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases through various biosafety levels inone single take in the POV camera sequence.

Editing on final cut pro

Preliminary task & Pre-production written work

Preliminary task objective:

Create a short film and editing of a character opening a door and walking across a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character. There must be a very short conversation consisting of a couple lines of dialogue & a final shot of the character than entered the room leaving. This filming should consist of important and vital camera shots such as an establishing shot, over the shoulder shot and the 180-degree rule.

The group I was assigned with at the time of filming our preliminary task came to the decision that we should film a chick flick. The footage involved a male and female who just met conversing as the male makes an effort to charm her. The males current partner then storms in on the conversation and the filming ends. The filming took place in the college canteen which is a very typical setting due to the characteristics of teenagers. The storyline and the shots filmed were very well done but our experience with a camera was very limited at the time therefore the film didn’t come across as professional and the microphone failed to pick up some of the dialogue. I learnt many things from the preliminary task e.g. how to use a variety of shots to prevent the footage being mundane to the viewer and increase emotion with shots such as close ups etc. I learnt that every shot has a purpose and using shots and other filming methods correctly are essential to creating a perfect film. I also learnt how to use the camera as it was my 1st time using such equipment and this experience allowed me to come to the conclusion with the support of my team members that I will be the camera man and cinematographer.

Pre-production written work:

We learnt how to write scripts, draw storyboards and design our own story ideas (not all in one lesson though). We learnt that scripts must follow the exact form and shape of the professionals which has to be done in a specific font which is "Courier New". Creating a storyboard was enjoyable though we could not go to the extents of detail like those producers in Hollywood due to the difference in out budgets. We used simple pencil drawings but ensured they were clear, concise and met the needs of a conventional storyboard. The genre of our film is Crime/Thriller. The reason why we chose to make a film of this genre is because our film could be very action packed and at the same time full of useful camera shots that can express the meaning of the film.

In our preliminary production, we didn't compose a script, or pay attention to lighting, camera angles of iconography. This mean't that our film was quite informal, and didn't hold any particular intentional background meaning. Because we didn't write a script at times characters were unaware of what to say, or laughed due to embarresment. Our group learnt that in order to acheive a professional finish we need chose the characters carefully based on their suitability to the character, which includes ability, appearence, accent etc. Because we didn't use camera angles to illustrate characters emotions, it was hard for the audience to understand how they were feeling during the scene. Another mistake made during our preliminary film, was the editing. Nobody in our group had used the software final cut pro prior to the filim the preliminary production. This made it hard for us to judge when it was appropriate to cut. We didn't link the cuts to the storyline - for example, if tension was increasing during the scene we could have increased the amount of cuts used showing close ups of each of the characters faces. However, we just made cuts where there was something that we didn't like about the scene- making it quite boring for the viewer and jolty to watch.

In conclusion, we learnt the value of each filming device in order to emphasis a point/emotion. For our final production, we will ensure that we will use each device in relevance to what is happening, giving our film more dimensions, and higher standard.

My own recce, Tarantinos usage of recce in Reservoir Dogs & Pre Visualisation

Final filming location decided after recce

I visited a variety of areas to decide where my location should be. Each location had its own benefits. The following are a list of places I visited:

College theatre:

Advantages- Perfect for interrogation room setting due to black wall-length curtains and spotlights.

Disadvantages: Interrogation room is irrelevant to final draft of synopsis.

Local high roads:

Advantages- Further creates essence of realistic story line due to public drivers/pedestrians in the background.

Disadvantages- Sound constantly drowned, time wasted waiting for traffic to clear.

Crossover bridge:
Advantages-Night-time lights and structure of bridge adds to cinematic effect, traffic can be seen but not heard preventing the drowning out of dialogue.

The bridge was where our final stand of took place and the estates in the background were where our corrupt cop awaited for our protagonist.

The areas I finally decided to use were the cross over bridge and its surrounding housing estates to due the variety of shots that could be made within the area. Using a cross over bridge allowed me to use a final zoom in scene from afar, very cinematic as the actors stood in a western style stand off at the top of the bridge.

A cinematographer is the person who is responsible for acheiving the artistic and technical aspects of the motion picture. And a 'Reece' is where the cinematographer seeks out appropriate locations for scenes in the film.
I believe my role as cinematographer for every scene excluding the title introduction was fully suitable and the only problems were the lighting as we filmed during winter and its became dark very early (5pm)

We were shown a video about Tarantinos usage of recce in his movie 'Reservoir Dogs'. The piece shows Tarantinos technique of going to a location/setting before proceeding with the final filming. This technique allows him to film the scene, find any errors and discover potential shots for the final film. He talks about how the lighting, sound and mood of a location should reflect the character or the situation of the scene. I learnt from this technique and applied it in my selection of location, this made the shooting of our film very rapid as we completed it within the space of 2-3 hours. The only dissatisfaction I have regarding our scenes is the introduction scene using a high road, it comes across as very unproffessional and I would have much prefered to use footage introducing our main character rather than set the scene.

Pre Visualisation

Lord of the Rings: Previsualistion of horses in battle

We were shown a video about pre-visualisation technology used by the directors of Lord of The Rings. The camera men of Lord of The Rings used it to pre-plan their shots and filming techniques before actually filming. This technology is used in Hollywood to create a low budget animation of a film before the filming has even started. This allows directors to get an idea of what their final production will look like and wether there are any issues that need to be addressed. The animation gives the directors the ability to control the movements of their characters to test out certain techniques of filming to ensure that they have filmed a perfect pice of footage. The other benefits of this technology are that it allows directors to edit the sound used and it can also be used as an alternative method of filming certain scenes that need re-filming.

Brief & Initial Ideas

We decided one of the central characters will be a corrupt cop due to the characters affiliation with our crime/thriller genre and the high number of possible storylines. He plays the antagonist in our final production.

The brief of my project is to create a short video production with a genre of the groups choice. This video production is called the preliminary task, its should contain various camera shots such as an establishing shot, close up and extreme long shot etc. This scene should also contain a conversation between two or more people then one of the persons involved in the conversation walks off. In the conversation there should also be an over the shoulder shot as it is a critical camera shot. The preliminary task is for us to get familiarised with the equipment such as the camera and tripod and to get used to using the different camera shots.

We were all allocated into groups by our teacher and my group happened to consist of three males. At first I saw this as a disadvantage as it would limit the amount of genres we could work with, then I realised an all male cast allows us to work on a variety such as crime thriller/ espionage/ action.

Our initial idea had setbacks from the beginning. We intended on creating a plot about two cousins scamming a bank to pay for their mothers medication. The story was inspired by the idea of Robin Hood stealing from the rich to give to the poor. The problems arised whilst recce trying to create a bank enviroment and the complexity of maintaing the story line would reduce the quality of the end production severley. We were also told by our teacher that the mother aspect of our story may be to soft for a crime thiller.

Our second story which went into full production seemed like it had overcome all setbacks wasnt successful eithr. We addressed the genre issue and ensured the story line was a true crime thrill, but again the locations and time managment preventing the production quality reaching its full potential. The storyline was to do with a young criminal robber who is captured by a crooked cop. The crooked cop offers him freedom in exchange for all of his riches. The opening scene to the movie begins with the main character in a dark interrogation room who is soon accompanied by a ruthless crooked agent. With no introduction the crooked agent abruptly asks for a sum of the money from the main character in order for him to carry on with his life as a free man. The main character, Jason, continuously tells the crooked agent that he doesnt know what they have got him in holding for but the agent tells him to stop trying to lie as he throws a envelope of evidence onto the interrogation table which then finally persuades Jason to play the dirty games of the crooked agent. Jason, reluctant to hand over his stolen money tries to hand the crooked agent a bag full of fake money as a deperate attempt to get away with all the money he has. But before he leaves the office he is caught out by the now highly tempered crooked agent who then hands Jason an ultimatum or else his life as he knows it will be futher spent in incarceration. The opening of the film ends there as Jason goes into a battle against a smart but ruthless agent.

Our final film has made a huge improvement in the sense that we simplified the plot whilst maintaining the quality needed. My contribution was finding the perfect location which is a big factor of footage, without using a flyover bridge over a dual carriageway at night with the beauty of speeding car lights and shadowed urban residential surroundings I doubt the film would have seemed as theatrical as it does. I was also the cameraman and decided how the shots should be taken, from what distance, and where the cuts should be made etc. My partner Sagars contributions were writing the script and choosing character roles, he also did a fantastic job acting as a crooked cop. Sagar was also contributed with the editing creating the titles and downloading unique fonts for our intro. For our 1st two initial ideas we had a 3rd member of our group whos only job was to act but our group was reduced to a two man project due to unavoidable reasons. We then got the help of a good friend to act as the drug dealer.

The drug dealer in our film opposes conventions and is portrayed as the protagonist.

The film begins as our main protagonist who is young a successful drug dealer recieves a phonecall from his friend, the conversation that follows exposes his anxiety and fear of being caught by police for the crimes he has commited. He says to friend during the phonecall that he is "paro" ,slang for scared, of being apprehended by police, then demands that his friend meets him on a bridge that was they used to hang out on in their younger childhood days so they can smoke some cannabis to relax his mind. As soon as this phone call ends a POV shot shows a phone number being rung by the name of "C.I.D Detective". The scene then cuts to a man dressed in a leather jacket standing with his back to the camera answering the phone, this being the C.I.D Detective. The C.I.D Detective is then heard being told the whereabouts of the young drug dealer. This creates a sense of betrayal as the audience immediately assume the friend has become an informant for the C.I.D. The C.I.D Detective is then scene abruptly entering his car to drive to the bridge. The next scene shows the young drug dealer walking up the ramp to the bridge then another phonecall comes through to the drug dealers phone. As he answers the phone a dark figure is seen appearing behind him on the entrance of the bridge. This could only mean two things, that his friend has arrived or that it is the C.I.D Detective but the phonecall identifies that his friend is still on his way and is parking his car. As the phone is rung up a gun is reloaded and the drug dealer turns around to shout out "Who the fuck are you?" and pulls out a firearm of his own. A exchange of words occurs and the camera zooms in to the bridge from the road. The camera cuts and a gun shot is heard as the ending creating a cliffhanger plot leaving the audience with awe and curiosity to who shot who.

I am Zubair Kamal, currently a student at Haringey 6th Form in North London. My hobbies and subjects studies are slightly reflect my personal interest and ambitions. My spare time is spent with family & friends. I love playing football and listening to rap & soul & dubstep music. I have a deep interest in hiphop culture and its influence on urban areas of the western world. I also make time to read on economy and international affairs, mainly focusing on poverty and corruption. I study Business, Media, English & Chemistry. My interest in media developed in my early teens when I learnt how you are only told what they want you to hear. The propaganda and deception within the media industry intrigued me. Examples of propaganda and deception that encouraged me to take and extra interest in the world of media vary from the Iran Contra cocaine scandal by the C.I.A and the war crimes hidden until the war neared cease.
